About eQuorum CorporationeQuorum's mission is to help companies, especially those with geographically dispersed employees, to better manage, collaborate with, distribute, and print the information in their business and technical documents—anywhere, anytime. eQuorum, a Georgia Corporation, is a privately held technology firm that was spun out of Byers Engineering Company (as CADNET Corporation) in 1996 after operating as an independent profit center since 1987. Byers Engineering Company (www.byers.com), founded in 1971, is a large engineering firm with approximately 1200 employees. eQuorum and Byers Engineering have transitioned numerous employees between the two firms including Frank Fortson, Division President at Byers Engineering, who is now eQuorum's President and CEO. Byers Engineering Company and Ken Byers, its sole owner, are significant shareholders in eQuorum, with Ken Byers serving as Chairman of eQuorum's Board of Directors. The company's name was changed to eQuorum Corporation in 1999 after the merger with Image Machines Corporation, a Virginia-based company, in business since 1987. Both of these companies were well-respected in their particular markets—CADNET was well-known for its productivity-boosting wide format printing solutions, and Image Machines was recognized for its raster editing, imaging, and document management solutions. Integrating the products from both companies gives our customers greater control and flexibility over the management, collaboration, distribution, and printing of their business documents, including complex images and large format technical drawings. eQuorum is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. |
