So, once your archive is established, you can provide direct access for others within your company to select documents by simply adding additional licenses of ImageSite.
  Creating Your Archive
ImageSite Archive is the best way to store and organize your scanned documents, whether they are business documents (small format), or engineering drawings (large format).

In fact, you can store any kind of archive documents in ImageSite Archive, including CAD files, released Plot Files, and office files like Adobe PDF and Microsoft Word.

Raster Editing & CleanUp
ImageSite Archive includes a powerful raster edit and cleanup application called ImageCenter. Set your scanner to launch directly into ImageCenter for drawing review and cleanup, then store high quality scanned drawings in the archive.

Use ImageSite's configurable search UI to conveniently find archive documents and display scanned image results with thumbnail views.
  Finding Archived Documents
With ImageSite Archive, you can respond quickly to requests for archived documents. Individual drawings, business documents or entire engineering plan sets can be located with the click of the mouse. Just configure ImageSite Archive to find documents using search attributes that best fit the types of documents in your archive and the way your company does business.

Advanced Engineering Features
ImageSite Archive offers advanced features for large format engineering documents. The archive can automatically acquire scanned engineering drawings from any wide format scanning system. ImageSite's raster image viewing (for scanned files or digital plot files) is optimized for superior performance and display speed.

   Raster Editing
ImageSite Archive includes a powerful raster editing application called ImageCenter. It serves as the default imaging module for documents created through scanning or raster images checked out of the ImageSite Archive. ImageCenter provides extensive raster editing capabilities for file formats such as TIFF, G4, CALS EDMICS, TG4, RLC, PCX, and others.

ImageCenter's raster viewing performance is best of class, with the consistent look and feel of ImageSite, and includes the following capabilities:
  • High speed zoom and pan
  • Overview and magnifier window to navigate and work in fine detail
  • Page flipper to quickly navigate between pages of compound documents
  Interactive Editing
ImageCenter offers a number of convenient interactive editing tools, such as freehand drawing, symbol placement, area erasing, text entry and linework with various widths, styles, and area fill patterns.

Batch Cleanup
ImageCenter's batch processing features allow for efficient scanned drawing review and cleanup immediately upon scanning. The batch processor allows users to set up a series of automated editing steps so that newly scanned documents can be edited automatically, including:

  • Adjust Resolution
  • Convert Format
  • De-speckle
  • De-skew
  • Rotate
  • Mirror
  • Invert
  • Scale
  • Crop

  • Use ImageSite Archive to organize your documents in logical folders and sub-folders much like Windows. Navigate through the archive by browsing individual folders and looking at thumbnail images of scanned files stored in each. You can conveniently review critical meta-data about each of your archived documents such as search attributes (index data) and version history.

    Document Attributes
ImageSite stores search attributes for each document to allow you to find documents quickly. The attributes that you use to index documents are entirely configurable, enabling you to organize your archive to fit your specific needs. Search attributes can be mandatory or optional, allowing key values to be included with every document for critical searches. Attribute value pull-downs are available to make indexing and searching easy.

ImageSite Archive uses a combination of a Windows-like folder display and attribute search values for the storage, organization and retrieval of archived documents. Thumbnail views are generated automatically for all raster documents.

    Template Manager
ImageSite's template manager streamlines the creation of new document collections. Each archive container (Project) can have a unique folder organization structure, search attributes, user and group assignments and security settings. The template manager enables all of these settings to be defaulted when creating new archive document collections.

    Check-in / Check-out
ImageSite Archive's comprehensive security model ensures only authorized users can check-in and check-out archived documents. Documents are checked-out of the archive in order to make updates or create revisions. A document can only be revised by the person who has it checked-out; its status is flagged for others to see.
      Version Control
ImageSite has an advanced version control system and stores complete version history with documents. As new versions of existing documents are checked into the system, the old documents are stored as back revisions. This provides you with a complete audit trail of changes made to each document, and allows you to regress documents back to prior versions if necessary.

    Events Subsystem
ImageSite includes a comprehensive event subsystem that records activities that have occurred within the system. The event subsystem reports on what individual users have done within the system, or which users have interacted with any documents in the archive.

ImageSite Archive includes an integrated Web viewer for high speed display of scanned images, raster files, or archived digital plots. Other file formats are automatically launched to their native viewing application.

    A Complete Solution

ImageSite Archive is a comprehensive solution for scanned data, print images, and digital documents. It includes the following components:

    ImageSite (two-user license)
    ImageCenter
    Print Room Manager
    Printer Driver

    Hardware Prerequisites

ImageSite Archive requires a PC running Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 OS with a Pentium III 1Ghz or comparable processor, 1 GB of RAM, and sufficient disk capacity to store archived documents.

      Acquire Documents Automatically
ImageSite Archive's acquisition subsystem can be "watching" for new documents to archive automatically. Unique acquisition rules can be cnfigured for different types of documents, allowing ImageSite Archive to import those documents automatically. For example, one acquisition queue may be looking for scanned engineering files, another for native CAD files, while others could be looking for Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word documents.

To interactively upload documents into the archive yourself, just drag and drop new or revised documents into your local workspace and ImageSite will upload them into their correct location.

ImageSite Archive is designed for production use and allows hundreds, even thousands of documents to be submitted to the archive at a time.
      Deliver and Print
ImageSite Archive allows a document control staff to conveniently find individual documents or entire sets for downloading and electronic distribution or for printing.

You can even use ImageSite Archive to automatically find and plot drawing sets based on lists generated from other corporate computer systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems.

Engineering set plotting capabilities of ImageSite are outstanding, allowing you to preview drawings to be plotted, order and save collections of drawings for convenient reprinting, and applying conditional stamps and watermarks based on attributes of the drawings.
