eQuorum Releases ImageSite® 8.1

ATLANTA, GEORGIA - October 15, 2010-Quorum Corporation today announced a number of significant enhancements to it's ImageSite Document Management Solution.

ImageSite Enhancement Summary

• Extensive ImageSite Workflow Enhancements
• Extensive ImageSite Windows Explorer Enhancements
• ImageSite now supports SolidWorks 2010.
• SolidWorks Properties Integration
• ImageSite has been enhanced to automatically extract custom properties from SolidWorks Assembly, Part, and Drawing files. The SolidWorks Properties extraction capability is similar to ImageSite's AutoCAD Title Block Integration. Both capabilities can be configured to automatically capture metadata that has been entered into the CAD file and directly assign these values to their corresponding ImageSite custom field values.
• AutoCAD 2011 Support
• AutoCAD 2011 support is available with ImageSite, if a customer license of AutoCAD 2011 is installed on the ImageSite server. A future release of ImageSite will include an OEM version of AutoCAD delivered with ImageSite.
• Print Destination Configuration has been enhanced to allow definition of custom controls, which provides the ability to limit particular parameters per plotter. Controls for paper size, scaling, duplex, color, and folding can be defined so that only those capabilities available for a specific device are available to the user when printing from ImageSite.
• Custom size controls can be defined for small format printers. One of those controls might be a paper size control which includes only page sizes of 8.5x11 and 11x17. These custom controls can then be associated with one or more logical plotters in Print Destination Configuration. When the ImageSite user selects the printer, only those controls that have been associated with the printer are displayed, and the controls can limit the choices, such as the paper size control, to options that are appropriate for the selected printer.
• ImageSite Print at Server has a new 'Auto' sizing control to fit a document to the best available page, including scaling down documents larger than the largest page. The Summary page now includes display of the document size as well as the selected page size.
• Additional job ticket variables provide a better description including version information for each file being printed when an after-job transmittal is created.
• Users can better review print settings for documents before printing. The print at server Summary page now displays the default settings for each plotter as well as other control selections, if a different setting was selected.
• If enabled in PrintDestinationConfig, documents can now be directed from the Print at Server Summary page to different Logical Plotters on a per-document basis
• A Plot Station queue can be associated with a print destination via Print Destination Configuration.
• ImageSite now allows per-document configuration of all PD.CFG Controls associated with a Plotter. The set of controls that is presented in the Summary Documents section is defined by the Processing level Plotter. Any controls that are also enabled for a document level plotter will be presented on the associated document line, with the options that are appropriate for the selected plotter.
