ImageSite® 3.2 Offers New Feature & Licensing Models

Customers Can Customize Product To Match Their Business Needs

ATLANTA, GEORGIA - August 20, 2001 - eQuorum Corporation, a leading provider of Web-based document collaboration, distribution, and plotting software solutions, today announced the availability of ImageSite 3.2. ImageSite, which provides a comprehensive combination of document management, document distribution, online collaboration, and printing, now offers two different pricing models as well as selection by desired feature set. This enables a company to customize the product to fit their business needs.

ImageSite 3.2 is separated into two models by feature set: ImageSite and ImageSite EX. ImageSite provides a standard feature set that allows users to create project workspaces with any number of uniquely named folders and subfolders to manage project or product documents. It supports a wide variety of document types including office documents, color images such as maps or photos, and published engineering drawings. Authorized users need only a standard Web browser to access and view the desired documents.

ImageSite EX includes all of the standard features plus an expanded feature set including support for native CAD files, use of electronic sticky notes, active event notification, and real-time online conferences. Another key feature in ImageSite EX is encapsulation which lets users download or e-mail documents with a self-contained viewer program to allow off-line viewing, measurement, mark up, and printing.

Both feature set models allow control over data access and application features so that ImageSite can scale from a departmental function to an enterprise solution. For example, a company can implement ImageSite EX with a limited feature set for a centralized print room application, and use the same product with its expanded feature set to provide advanced collaboration, markup and distribution functions for other departments and with outside suppliers and customers.

"Both models of ImageSite offer very tight integration of the document management, distribution, collaboration, and printing functions," comments Frank D. Bouchard, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at eQuorum. "Similar software products often launch third party applications which makes it confusing to the user. ImageSite's tight integration provides a consistent user interface no matter what the user is doing - viewing thumbnails, working with mark ups, or printing a document set - so it's easier to learn and use the product. Moving from function to function is seamless to the user."

Bouchard continues, "With the release of ImageSite 3.2 and our new two tier feature structure, companies with simple document viewing and collaboration needs can start with ImageSite and upgrade to ImageSite EX should their needs change. ImageSite 3.2 also now offers two choices for software licenses. Companies may select from a concurrent user license with an unlimited number of documents, or a document quantity license with an unlimited number of users. This continues our practice of providing a superior technology product, while enhancing the features and functions based on the needs identified by our customers and business partners."

With the release of ImageSite 3.2 eQuorum also unveils a crisp new look for the user interface. The most visible changes are a cleaner-looking screen layout that is more intuitive to use and a fresh color scheme that makes it easier to spot the desired information.
