Why do you offer two different types of subscriptions and how do I know which one is better for us?
Engine-Box Engineering Workflow & Document Management Solution is offered in both concurrent and named subscriptions which we believe provides customers with the most flexibility and ultimately the best value for the spend. Concurrent subscriptions are better for organizations that have a wide variety of possible user types, from heavy, power users to view-only, casual users. With concurrent subscriptions companies have the ability to give everyone a user account and not worry about people who just don’t use the system. Named subscriptions are better for organizations where they know many users will be on the system frequently, often staying on the system for long periods of time or the entire day.
If we have questions or want help with integrating other systems, who do we call, a reseller, a system integrator, or someone else?
You call us. No phone tree menus, no newbie taking your information for a support ticket. We answer the phone and will help you with any questions (answers to life questions may take longer for an answer). If we can’t help you directly with the integration, we’ll find someone who can.
Can Engine Box store and distribute some old file types like Visio and Catia?
Engine-Box can store, secure, and distribute any file type, new or old. Some of the older file types are not supported in the viewer, meaning users need to download the files and open them in a native viewer to be displayed. Contact us if you have specific file types you would like to include.
What are the security certifications and compliance standards Engine-Box meets?
Engine-Box runs on Amazon Web Services platform in their East Coast data center. The environment operates under many compliance standards and industry certifications, including:

Can we use Engine-Box as a way to distribute files to vendors/customers like our FTP site?
Distributing files from Engine-Box.com is not only easy but provides the security you need. Third party users can be set up with the security you want and use our self-subscription so you don’t have the hassle of having to set up every outside user. In addition, you get full audit tracking and event notifications, so you get notified when specified files are downloaded, uploaded, viewed, printed, etc.
Is there a project type pricing where we only pay during the management of a project?
Even though we have monthly pricing, we ask for a full year commitment up-front. However, if you give us a call we may get you a 3 month trial. Projects longer than that you will need to pony up, but we think you’ll really like it and see the value
What happens to my files at the end of the trial if I don't want to purchase a subscription?
You own your files (see our Privacy Policy). You can either delete or download all your files or ask our Support team to do it. If required, our Support team will provide you a Letter of Attestation confirming all your files have been wiped from Engine-Box disk storage.
Why not just use one of the box providers, they look cheaper?
Engine-Box.com is a commercial grade box application created for corporations maintaining important intellectual property like engineering drawings and technical documents. You get the level of security and version control you don’t get with the consumer box providers, and no syncing software to mess with.
When will Onshape integration and Single sign-on be available?
